DJ Calvin Harris canceled on Katy Perry! The Scottish DJ canceled on the singer just hours before he was supposed open for her on Monday night (March 28). Calvin was scheduled to open for Katy for the entire UK leg of her Teenage Dream Tour.

Katy was not happy about the snub and took to Twitter to express her disappointment.

  • Katy tweeted, “FYI ALL UK & IRELAND RELATED SHOWS @CalvinHarris will NOT be joining in on the fun and has CANCELLED last minute.”

Calvin tried to apologize but was not recieved well.

  • He tweeted, “Sorry to all who wanted to see me with Katy — her team suddenly moved the goalposts, and i was to appear on stage with no production. It would have looked sh**, sounded sh** — trust me you would have been more disappointed SEEING the show than u are with me cancelling. That’s the honest truth. Her show is AWESOME, you’ll all have an amazing time without me. (especially w/o me DJing on a cardboard box in front of a pink curtain)”

Katy wasn’t accepting excuses. Katy tweeted, “@CalvinHarris . . funny the goal post seems to be perfectly fine for New Young Pony Club, Yelle, Robyn, Marina & The Diamonds to name a few. @CalvinHarris or how bout Janell Monae and her 16 piece band. . . Etc. . . it’s fine, I’m used to you canceling on me, it’s become ur staple!”

Calvin tried once again to apologize and explain his side of the story.

  • Calvin tweeted, “We tried really hard to sort it out, but playing side of stage for 30 mins, it seemed pointless me even being there. Didn’t intend to cause offense or upset anybody.”
  • But it seemed that his apologizes were falling on deaf ears, for the Twitter world is one where people get angry and aren’t afraid to share their feelings with you. Calvin tweeted, “WTF are Katy Perry fans telling me to KILL MYSELF on twitter for? Seriously. I’m a producer making music. Leave me alone please thanks x The internet is a really depressing place sometimes.”
