The tips to keep you going in search to get your HEXY back…

So day 1 is hard…Climbing on that weighing scale and judging yourself is damn hard…

Thank the lord for my patient husband who holds my hand as i shriek hysterically at the scale, pout and experience my umpteenth mood swing of the day, but a couple of tips from a healthy sister and sister in law help…

BE POSITIVE….easy for them say in their perfect, toned bodies…but they are right. Believing in yourself, taking your promise seriously and just sticking to a goal really helps…

so I promise to not loathe myself every time something naughty passes my lips or get depressed about it but instead get on that exercise bike in the house or head off for a walk to burn some calories.

Anyway here are some tips, i’ll keep them coming right? Right….

Rub Your Temples

Tame tension headaches by rubbing peppermint oil, Tiger Balm, or white flower oil into your temples. All three remedies contain menthol, which has analgesic properties.

and with all that head bashing you are doing right now, Lord knows you need this tip….

Enjoy Ginger

The volatile oils in ginger have long made it a useful herbal remedy for nasal and chest congestion. Pour 2 cups of boiling water over a 1-inch piece of peeled, grated ginger; steep for 10 minutes; and strain. Add a pinch or two of cayenne pepper to the water and drink as needed.

with my cold at the moment, i add mine to my green tea with a wee bit of honey as it soothes my throat…every time i take a sip, it’s like my throat is having an orgasm…i love it!

Embrace Bitters

Combat a yen for sugar by following a Chinese medicine approach: Eat foods such as endive, radicchio, cooked greens, and olives. I love olives and honestly from this list…i find them the easiest to snack on …

Go Fish

Since i can’t make fish everyday i pop a pill…an omega pill…

Pop a Probiotic

Foods such as naturally fermented sauerkraut, kimchi (GOD i miss THAILAND), and kefir, as well as yogurt with active cultures, also contain these bacteria.

I snack on yogurt and cranverries everytime i want a sweet snack…p.s. ialso go for natural yogurt to keep those sugars and processed junk at bay…man i feel proud…but i am not a health expert….

I am really not a health expert…as anal know it alls will tell you…i am just living my life and getting my health the best way i know…hence the blogging…it keeps me motivated, and if does the same for you, well my work here is done….
